1.) Engineers and the USDA are finalizing the paperwork for the new well on
English Mountain. As soon as they give us the approval the well digging
company will mobilize and begin drilling.
2) TAUD is negotiating with a wastewater utility company to assist in the
management and operation of the District’s off site decentralized sewer
systems. This will allow us to concentrate completely on English
Mountain exclusively to address the many deficiencies that exist.
3) Volumetric billing has begun in The Preserve. New meters will be
installed, beginning in The Preserve, when a meter reading system is
chosen.
4) TAUD requested funds from the State of TN through the legislative
process with a negative result from the latest session. The EPA has told
the district that federal funds are available to help us but they have not
produced any money as of today. We will continue to seek financial help
while moving forward with our current rate structure funds.
