Manager’s Update
- Engineers and the USDA are finalizing the paperwork for the new well on English Mountain. As soon as they give us the approval the well digging company will mobilize and begin drilling. The drilling company is getting their bonds in place by September 4th. When the bonds are in place the USDA will release them to begin drilling the new well.
- The new meter reading system and a portion of the new meters have been ordered. New meters will be installed in The Preserve first to accommodate their volumetric billing. When English Mountain has the new well in service, and the water situation is stabilized, new meters will be installed over a period of time on English Mountain.
- ESCUD is working with Rye Engineering on an IPG grant that will hopefully fund a portion of the residential meters on English Mountain and several zone meters located at strategic locations to aid in the district’s water loss.
